Craft beer is enjoying a renaissance with unprecedented production and creativity flowing forth, especially in the US. The popular conception of today’s brewer is of a Caucasian male, quite often bearded. But is that accurate? Has it always been so? Will it always be so? This three-part Green Soul free-admission series seeks to examine and answer all of these questions and more.
This second event in the series of three will feature the self-taught founders of Harris Family Brewers, believed to be the first professional African-American brewers in Pennsylvania and one of the first in the country. The brewers will discuss their journey and present some of their beers in a tasting.
